The FISHER 167DA is a three – way switching valve, typically used to supply gaseous fluids with constant reduced pressure to pilot – operated controllers and other pneumatic instruments. Here is a brief introduction:
Structural Features: It adopts a three – way switching valve structure. The sizes of ports A and C are 1/4 or 1/2 NPT, and the vent and control pressure connection port (port D) and port B are 1/4 NPT.
Pressure Parameters: The maximum inlet pressure is 400 psig (27.6 bar). Different spring models have different pressure ranges. For example, in 167DA – 13/CBF, the spring A/C range is 25 – 60 PSI, and the spring B range is 25 – 50 PSI. In 167DA – 85, the spring A/C range is 40 – 125 PSI, and the spring B range is 40 – 90 PSI.
Temperature Range: For standard bolting, it is – 20 to 180 °F (- 29 to 82 °C); for stainless – steel bolting, it is – 40 to 180 °F (- 40 to 82 °C); and for FKM trim, it is 0 to 300 °F (- 18 to 149 °C).
Function and Use: It is a pneumatically operated and controlled unit with a variety of functions, which can handle switching applications involving venting, on – off control, and failure modes. When a failure occurs in the air – supply system, it can automatically cut off the passage between the regulating instrument and the regulating valve, keeping the opening of the regulating valve in the position before the failure to ensure the normal operation of the process. After the air – supply failure is eliminated, it can automatically resume normal control.
