DANIEL 760/761 Pilot Operated Back Pressure and Pressure Relief Valve, NPS 2-12, Class 150-600
Product Overview
The DANIEL 760 back pressure valve and the DANIEL 761 pressure relief valve are pilot operated control valves that hold inlet pressure within 2 psi (13.8 kPa) of set point regardless of flow rate or downstream pressure. Both use balanced, single seated pilots with large ports, so the pilot is not affected by changes in downstream pressure and the main valve opens smoothly with the minimum of pressure drop. The high capacity 45 degree body carries a steel A216 Gr WCB main body, stainless steel trim, nitrile O-rings and a piston seal that is unaffected by changes in fluid viscosity. Positive ANSI Class VI shut-off and fail safe closure protect the line if pressure is lost. All internal parts sit in a cartridge assembly that can be serviced without removing the valve from the pipeline, and the design has no diaphragms or stuffing boxes. Available in NPS 2 to 12, ANSI Class 150, 300 and 600.
Product Features
Pilot operated, holds inlet pressure within 2 psi (13.8 kPa) of set point at any flow rate
Balanced single seated pilots with large ports, unaffected by downstream pressure changes
Positive ANSI Class VI shut-off with fail safe closure on loss of pressure
High capacity 45 degree body, steel A216 Gr WCB with stainless steel trim and nitrile O-rings
Cartridge internals, no diaphragms or stuffing boxes, serviced without breaking the line
Typical Applications
Pump discharge back pressure control, metering system back pressure, pipeline surge control, pump by-pass and pressure relief duty on crude, refined product and general liquid service.
Selection Notes
Please specify whether the duty is back pressure (760) or pressure relief (761), the line size, ANSI class, set pressure and flow rate, and we will select the pilot spring range. Higher settings and special trim are available on request.
