Product Overview

The Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6020 is a digital valve controller for rotary actuators and long-stroke sliding stem valves, covering stem travel up to 606 mm (23-7/8 inch) and rotation from 50 to 90 degrees. It is the variant chosen when a standard DVC6010 cannot follow the stroke of a large valve.

Loop power is 2-wire 4-20 mA with HART communication and a minimum of 11 VDC at the terminals. Pneumatic output runs from 0.4 to 9.5 bar (6-140 psi), up to 95 percent of supply pressure, with independent linearity within 0.5 percent of span. The low-copper aluminium housing suits ambient from -52 to 80 C, and the 1/4 NPT supply port accepts an integrally mounted filter regulator.

Typical Applications

Used on large butterfly, ball and gate valves in gas transmission stations, compressor anti-surge loops, refinery and chemical process units, and power plant water systems. Long-stroke service includes large cage valves and dampers where travel feedback must remain accurate over the full stroke.

Selection Guide

The DVC6020 is superseded by the DVC6200 series. Specify valve type, actual travel or rotation angle, actuator size, air supply and fail action so the correct mounting and feedback kit can be quoted with the instrument.
